I thought journaling was enabled by default or am I mis-interpreting something?

Ext2 by default. Apply a journal using option 7 in the disk configuration menu.

The text for option 7 says I only need to do that for upgraded systems. Mine is a fresh install. Odd.

Will enabling journaling require a reformat?
