Awesome! very glad to see this. Is there a limitation as to how long the offer to re-validate is good for?

Thanks guys, excellent resolution. I wasn't going to buy an update, but with the new price, that's changed.

Way to keep your customers happy

not meaning to revive a closed thread but...

Tony/Ralph do you realise that when you purchase NASLite + for USB that you don't actually ever say maintenance runs out after 180 days.

Enter site at

http://www.serverelements.com/index.php

Go to product

http://www.serverelements.com/naslite-pusb.php

Click on buy now

pay

complete

(If its there its certainly not obvious).

Also is there no chance of buying a version that doesn't expire or at least last a few years. The reason i say this is that producing the company paperwork/receipts/etc every six months is probably as expensive for me as paying for the update.

I don't think NASLite+ is being developed anymore ... hence no updates / maintenance :)

I don't think any version expires / requires a update to keep running ... it's just if you want a updated version.

eg. My download link expired a few months ago (180 days from purchase) just before the release of 2.04. I could (and can) still use 2.03, but I had to pay maintenance to upgrade to 2.04.

sorry in my haste i used naslite + links instead of Naslite 2.

However it still holds true that it doesn't actually say anywhere obvious you only have 6 months on maintenance of the product (which it really should be clear)

Maintenance is so cheap that imho it makes far more sense to give users an option to buy years in advance/a perpetual license. Having to upgrade your license/maintenance every 6 months is really rather inconvenient and unbelievably annoying if you have to raise a purchase order internally to do so.

I wanted to buy the upgrade for my NASLITE2+ USB v2.02, but can't figure how to do so. It is well over 6 months old, but I just wished to get the updated 2.04 for my existing server.

Can you advise on how to do so?

Thanks.

Use the original download link that was sent to you at purchase, if it's expired it will present you with the option to purchase maintenance upgrade.
