Can anyone recommend what controller card i can use for adding additional hard drives that is non-raid function, just plain independent physical hard Drives. I'm setting up a Nasbox with maybe 11 hard drives for my converted
divx/avi movies and mp3s. :D

Have a look at the supported IDE and SATA controllers (non Hardware RAID) in the Hardware Reference..... Basically, if you find something with the same chipset then there's a *fair* chance it will work. I was using a no-name SiI3114 card very successfully before I upgraded to a not yet recognised Adaptec card.
