I can't access the Unlock screen. I am getting a "page can not be found" screen and when going thru the directories, the unlock.htm is not listed and nor is about.htm. The other 5 are listed. After saving the configuration and rebooting, I am getting this error below where it states "Setting Normal Administration mod......Done": and above the NasLite-2 Login.
/et/ServerElements/bin/NL2-0B: 416: Syntax error: 100--98

Somone help me out on this!! I am trying to use a Dell 2300. Frustration as complete set in. I have even tried a Dell L466c, just to see and I am stuck at the same spot! I have swapped out ethernet cards in the Dell 2300. I am sure it is probably something simple I am missing. HELP HELP HELP!!!

P.S. I have turned off everything I could in the bios and even set the hard drive to None. Still nothing is working.

P.S.S. I have verified that I can ping several computers on my network. I do not believe it is a network problem.

Does the same problem occur each time you boot? Also which status screens are missing?

One thing you can try is to recreate the CD-ROM again. Burn at a slower speed and see if the problem disappears.

I hope that helps.

I tried to burn it again. I tried two different programs, and two different sets of media and both did the exact same thing. The pages I am missing are about.htm and unlock.htm. I tried using both the main page and browsing to them and I also tried using the directory structure to find them. They are nowhere to be found. I guess I can try to download the software again tonight and see if that fixes the problem (both burns where from the same iso download). I also did not try burning at a slower speed, but it seems odd that everything works, but that part.

Unfortunately I am at work, but I will try to download it again tonight and burn the cd at a slower rate.

P.S. Same error every time. I am getting a tone after everything is

This is strange...

Can you try with ACPI disabled in the BIOS. Also make sure PnP OS is turned off. For some reason the status is failing on your hardware. This is the first time i've seen that. ;-)

PS. Another thing to try is boot without the HD. If the systems boots normally and no errors come up, then delete the partitions off of the drive and try again.

I was able to get my computer to work last night with "a competing product with lesser capabilities", but I used a different hard drive and had it showing up in the bios (instead of set to none). Tonight I will give naslite a try with the other hard drive and the same bios setup. Unfortunately since this was the lowe end Dell when it came out (no AGP/PCI-E mobo), the computer is very stripped down and the bios does not allow for turning off PnP and disabling ACPI (only S1 and S3 options). Trust me, I have everything I possibly can turned off (other than the IDE controllers). Gotta love cheap computers!
