NASLite rocks! I'm a very happy customer. My only wish is for a backup client application.

Before I decided to build my own NAS box I was looking at the Mirra server products. The storage space for the money isn't very good with Mirra but the .NET client application that automatically backs up specified files or directories looks slick. Is there any plans to create a backup client application or am I going to have to break down and write my own? 8)

We consider the mirror feature to be equivalent to a backup. A full featured backup for the purpose of storing incremental or differential data is best accomplished by the client.

Scott,

Many of us around here are fond of SynBack by 2BrightSparks.

They have a free version that is very good. :)

I use it to backup all my Windows 2003 sandbox servers.

Best,

Steve

You might also want to take a look at http://www.aboutmyip.com/AboutMyXApp/DeltaCopy.jsp

its uses rsync and works well with a v2 naslite server.
and its free,

Sorry if I hijacked the thread.

Deltacopy looks interesting but I couldn't figure out how to get it to work with Naslite 2.

you might want to put these files in the deltafolder they are the newest versions, unpack to the delta folder.
