I run v1.x now and have just brought v2.03. My NAS computer needs a floppy kicker to boot to USB.

Of all the other computers I have access to, I have none that have a CDROM and a floppy drive. So I can't make a kicker floppy from the new v2 CD.

But I do have the old v1 kicker disk. Should that/will that work ?

Thanks

I don't know the answer to my own question but I wanted you (all collectively) to know that I don't actually need the answer because, thanks to the generous member here - Eden - who posted the iso's for a kicker CD, I now can boot from my brand new v2.03 loaded USB ....

To help those searching for his kicker images, they are here:

(since they moved from the original url).

I'm still not working, but I'm going to post a new topic about that ...

I agree about Eden's generousity. His link should be stickied somewhere.

The kicker with v1 and v2 is the same it uses the same panasonic usb drivers, the ones I have uses a different version of that driver. The other usb drivers are a iomega and a novac driver.
if the panasonic floppy fails then the iomega is a good one to try next, not sure about the novac driver but it might help someone get booted up.

The Cd versions of these drivers boot so much faster, if after using all the kicker you still can not boot up then I suggest a usb pci card.
