I posted this message in the NASLite+ forum, but also wanted to ask the question to users of NASLite 2...
Just wondering what solutions other users have come up with for doing routine virus scans of their NASLite?
I am thinking that I would probably have to map the drives from the NASLite to a different computer on the network and then scan the NASLite drives from there. Since I have both Windows and Linux (Ubuntu) machines on my network, I could use virus scanning software for either platform, as long as it supports the scanning of networked (mapped) drives.
Does anyone know if any of the current freeware Virus scanners, for Windows or LINUX, will scan networked drives? I know AVG Free will not.
