I have 3 volumes of raid 5 running on my server but find that all 3 volumes have different max mount count values, 27,36 and 37, this results in disk checking happening in an un syncronised manner resulting in longer down time overall.
Is it possible to set the max mount count to be the same and reset them all to the same value so that say every 35 reboots the 3 volumes are all checked together resulting in just 1 big downtime whilst the volumes are all checked.

Use a Linux LiveCD and the tune2fs command.
