NASLite Network Attached Storage

I am running two NASLite servers, one old, one new. My two XP machines, an eMac with 10.5.6, all three of my mediaplayers can access all the drives on both servers. However my two LInux boxes, in the last week, can only access them as mounted ftp shares, and not as smb shares. Nothing has changed as far as I can tell. I even tried rebooting both NASLite servers thinking that it may have been an internal networking conflict. To no avail. Both Linux machines can access both the XP machines, and the eMac without any problems. Any suggestions? I'm not sure what other information you might need, just ask and I will do my best to provide whatever info you may need.

Did you recently update the Linux machines?

Just the usual updates. I don't recall whether any of them had to do with Samba or anything remotely connected to samba. The error message I get will either read "Failed to mount" or "the connection has timed out" (or something to that effect.).
