Hi there,

I just got a Gigabit NIC today to try and improve transfer speeds. I put it in and booted the system to see if it was detected. It was, but I can only access the NasBox through telnet or HTTP. I cannot mount the volumes (I'm using OSX 10.5.6).

I have tried to change "Last" to "First" in the Network configuration, with the only effect that I cannot access the Box at all, and will have to do a cold reboot, thus having to spend about 3 hours while all the HDDs are checked!

I do not have a monitor at home to try all the other BIOS tweaks I've read about on these forums, so before I go out and borrow one from a friend, which cannot be done today, I was wondering if there was anything else I could try?

Thanks a lot
Etienne

EDIT
Solved: for some reason changing the NIC had locked NasLite, I simply had to have another unlock code generated and it's back on. Not much speed improvement though, but that's another subject.

You need to get a new authorization key and put it in. This happens when you make a major hardware change with NL. It is free and painless though, just a bit of a pain in the ass. THANKS TONY AND RALPH!!!!!
