Hello,
I try to use rsync and put the parameters on the administrator panels but I don't find any log about this activity. Is rsync not logged in the system log ??
Thank's,
Damien

Browse to "Server Storage Disk-X" pages. You can view the rsync log there.
Also a "MIRRORLOG" text file is kept at the top level of the drive that was mirrored. After a mirroring operation has completed I rename the file (adding the current date to the name) so I can keep a history of a prior mirror.

Thanks georg,
I found the rsync log and information in the mirrorlog.txt file as you explained but I have only hardware, filesystem and SMART informations in the Server Storage Disk-x pages ??
Regards,
Damien
PS: my NASLite version is NASLite-2 USB v2.04 02-2007

Unfortunately the info in the "Server Storage Disk-X" page gets reset and the mirror log wiped out after any reboot. It's essentially just a nicely presented version of the txt file. And it is pretty much "real-time" (updated at the "status interval" you chose) while the mirror is happening (useful if it's a large data transfer).

Correction! I said
Quote:
... I rename the file ...so I can keep a history ...

Doing that would not accomplish the objective -- the renamed file at the target would get destroyed 24 hours later. What I really do is this: After completion of the "rsync" mirror operation I copy the "MIRRORLOG.TXT" file ( which NASLite creates on the target disk of the mirror during the operation as a log ) from the target of the mirror to the source disk of the mirror. And then I rename it (giving it a unique name which includes the date of the operation) at the mirror's source.

In this fashion, 24 hours later, a copy of the prior (renamed) MIRRORLOG.TXT is made, giving me a running log at both the source and destination (target).

 Sorry if my original statement caused any confusion.
