I seen NASLite v1.x that it was for free. So wanted to test it on this to see if it would work. I could not find a place to download a floppy for free. I looked for about 2 hours and gave up.
Then from a
link not even looking for it I found a ISO. Burned it and booted it with a USB CD rom. But NASLite v1 did not see the USB CD rom.
Used a old computer to test it that has a floppy drive on it.
I could made the floopy with that. Booted it in the Mini-ITX system I want to use for NASLite. Used a USB floppy. It said booting with a lot of ........ but the screen would then go blank just after the ..... got to the right of the screen and reset and go over and over like this.
So I tested it on the old system. Put a SATA drive on it and set the BIOS for Legendary and still it would not see the SATA drive. I put a IDE drive on it and it finds that.
But this is a system I don't want to use it on.
I just hope NASLite M2 will work on this Mini-ITX. I have a WD green hard drive on it. Put a Watt meeter on it as it boots I never seen it go over 39 watts. It stayed at about 34 on boot. But at idel the watts stay at about just 26!
I wanted a small low power NASLite system. It's just to bad it will not work in this. Yet I hope. I think NASLite M2 will work in it.
