I have been running NASLite 2-USB for about 1.5 years. I recently put up a FREENas server and have noticed the network speed is much higher. I actually just changed out the entire motherboard in the NASLite machine but the network is still slow - I'd say about 10 MBPs where I get 70-80 in FREENas. I see that the card is being set to full duplex but I see nowhere where the network SPEED is indicated nor do I see anywhere to check it or force it to 100 to make sure it's not doing 10 (everything on my network is 10/100 and all the other machines run fine at 70-100).

Is there anywhere I can check to confirm the CURRENT NASLite network settings?

Thanks

Rob

Take a look at the Device Details at the bottom of the Network Status screen.

Take another look. It's the very first column just below the "Device Details" caption. BTW, what version of NASLite-2 are you using?

Here's a screenshot. Am I just not seeing it? All I see is the full duplex part, not the speed. Version's bottom left. I'm about to upgrade, just haven't gotten to it yet.

The capture I posted is from the latest release - v2.06. The Device Details were modified in v2.04 ( http://www.serverelements.com/history.p ... Lite-2-USB ) to include the details you are looking for.

I'm pretty sure it's because of the NIC speed. I'm going to be putting the latest version on tonight (see discussion above) so that I can tell what speed the NIC is at. My point is not to disparage NASLite btw, the reason I did FREENas on the new server is because I don't have the money for another license right now. But the fact that FREENas goes so much quicker made me realize that there is some issue with my NASLite server.
