You may have a drive that has gone south in which case your are going to have to goto extremes to get the data off. The first thing to try is to log in through the telnet terminal and run the disk check utility that is built into NL. See the manual for details.

Also, you might want to post up a copy of your logs for all to look at.

My mistake, I have CDD version not HDD.
I can not find the utility to check the harddisk using telnet.
Is there a way to mount the disk-0 partition and just get the data backup.

You could just boot the box off of a Knoppix live CDROM. That will mount the drive (RO) if it is mountable so you can read the data off of it.

What i Can suggest you that if you have a windows pc then down load Diskinternals linux file Reocvery . After Install that Software connecet Your Nas hard drive as a slave or secondary IDE to your windows Pc then open the software U can able to access the disk & if thier is data You can back up it to your windows pc. once you get all data then you may try with other options . so then you don't have to worry about data anymore .

"DiskInternals Linux Recovery is a utility for Windows that allows you to recover information contained in Linux Ext2/Ext3 partitions. The program can restore deleted and damaged data, recover a partition table, recover files if the drive is inaccessible and restore disk after a crash. It also can create a partition image that can be processed as a regular disk. All features are provided on a no-cost basis, DiskInternals Linux Recovery is freeware."
