Upon booting off of the NAS LITE 2.0 HHD CDROM I receive the following message:
“Target Device not found”

I’m assuming this means that NAS LITE cannot identify a target drive for it’s installation.
My question is: At this initial point, what can I do to point NAS Lite to the proper location?
My configuration is as follows:

1. CD-ROM on IDE “slave” set to boot.
2. Four SATA drives in a RAID 5 configuration – LSI Mega RAID 6-drive SATA card. Currently installed with MS Windows Server (working config that I intent to overwrite.

The disk array is configured to boot.
Any ideas on what I could check next?

I think that you've encountered the problem I did when I tried to install HDD on my 3Ware SATA volume - you can't. Tony or Ralph will correct me if I'm wrong, but from memory, unfortunately, the installer is not configured to allow you to install to a RAID volume. I believe that it may be under consideration for a later build, but in the mean time, I'd suggest that you find a CF card >8MB and a CF to IDE adapter (eBay) and install onto that.

Ah, ok, that would explain it.
I'll pickup a CF card adapter and try it from the IDE port.

thank you

i am having the same error...i don't think that i am installing to a raid volume (but then again i am a newbie). I have two hard drives simply connected via SATA and one appears as a master and the other as a slave when i boot. Anyone have any ideas why i am getting this error and more importantly, how i can fix it?
