I have a system up and running fine with NASLite 2 HDD without any problems.

I now want to switch to a different motherboard and case that have more IDE and SATA connectors

I am not sure if this means that I have to buy a new NASLite 2 HDD copy for the new server. Note that I plan to trash the old NAS server once upgraded.

Can anyone answer this for me.

You can move things to different hardware and all you have to do is unlock again.
