Hi, I have finally got around to successfully upgrading to NASLITE 2.x USB. But I noticed one option that I dont understand if it will benefit my situation or not. I am going to be using my NASLITE server for storing large video files. 1 to 10GB in size. Can you tell me what this option is to be used for: Apply Journal to Disk-N filesystem option

And are there any other tweaks I should do because of these large video files I will be storing on the machine

On Windows XP I format the hard drives with 64K block sizes. It helps save diskspace when storing large files. Just wondering if there is anything like that I can do in Naslite 2.x

Journaling is good for the integrity of your filesystem. You can safely apply a journal to an existing Naslite drive at any time. Naslite employs aggressive buffering, so the block size, although relevant, will not improve your user-end performance.

Hope that helps.

Welll :-) I just wanted to make sure that I didnt screw up anything on my video recording drives on my naslite 2.x computer. I thought I read on the screen that the journaling was already enabled by default. But I guess you are telling me that it is not, and therefore, I should just go ahead and apply it to all my drives. I will have 2 to 3 TB of drives in there pretty soon, since 1 TB drives are affordable now.
