Dear Tony and Ralph

Thanks for a great product and great support.

I've been using the CDD version for 6 months or so and it has been brilliant! Fast, reliable and easy to use...and in my opinion very reasonably priced. The NASLite box (an old Aptiva K6-2 with 3 WD 320 GB drives) just sits in a corner and WORKS! I don't give it a second thought. I've mapped several 'family' computers to it for various tasks and haven't had a single problem using the system. What more could anyone ask for?

I look forward to downloading the HDD version and installing it in a new system soon. I have 'scrounged' a Pentium 1.6 Ghz mobo and installed it in a nice Coolermaster case with lots of room for hard drives, so that is the project for the future.

Again, thanks and 'Keep up the great work"!

thats good then - and tells you you have a good product - i cannot argue with that - it is an excellent product

i just made a point - i felt it relevant - others do not agree - i dont have a problem with that - it was my point of view - no more no less

seems offence was taken to some of my comments - i have said earlier in the thread non was meant - as a new user i have had problems - some - i agree of my own making - as a help forum i asked for help - some of my questions were answered others not - that was my point

if i put it badly then i apologise

tony a,

It is not a problem, I'm sure you have your reasons and frustrations, but how you target them in your communication does send a message.

Ralph and I take great care in making sure that user data is protected from damage due to software malfunction. We take lots of time to ensure our releases are clear of defects. I consider that an integral part of customer support.

In addition to development efforts, we do spend a lot of time researching problem related to user hardware and specific scenarios presented to us on this forum as well as in email. We try and help where help is warranted and always assist in cases where help is necessary. I'm sure we've come up short on occasion but that's not from lack of trying.

Lastly, this is a peer forum, so getting help from other users should be, and is the norm. Ralph and I can't possibly handle each and every request, considering some are just plain silly.

tony

i type as i talk and that sometimes is a little blunt and brusk - just me - but when i get it wrong as i do many times i am quick to try and put things right - thats the reason for the apology - which is/was sincerely meant

i have no doubt you put a lot of work into the product and continue to do so - hence the updates which seem much more than bug fixes as there is a list of new features in each release

if my posts in here did nothing else they got people telling you how good the product is and disagreeing with me - fine - there are 101 opinions for most things :D

For some things that's true dude. But in this case accusing SE of lame support is way off. Funny how you can't see that, but whatever.

A forum is to talk about everything related to the program or problems with it.
we are supose to share ideas and ways its should or could be used.
lets not turn this into a AOL chat room lol.
program and thankyou's should be in here and problems or helps for the program.
issues dealing with people on this forum or tech support people, should be adressed to them directly,...WE all may have issues with a program, so lets get it resolved, but any bashing of certain things just turns this forum into a highschool chatroom.
sorry just had to speak my peace......
anyway keep up the good work Tony and Ralph, just downloaded my hdd version will install soon..

I have been eagerly waiting the HDD version since version 1.

Yes and I used the discount page to get it.

It is not the price it costs, but the value you get from it.

Would have gladly paid more if necessary, as I said "its the value you get from it, not the price!

Keep up the good work Tony and Ralph, there are those of us who do appreciate it!

I've had nothing less than excellent customer service with server elements
(not receiving a download link)

And if people bothered to read the manual, 80% of all problems would be dealt with even before they start the search for hardware

The link works fine provided you have cookies enabled. The manual is on the CD also, so you don't have to download it.
