Does anyone know of a adapter to convert a Floppy controller to a flash based memory. That way I could use my old box that will not boot from usb.

Hi,

There is a product called a flashpath Floppy disk adapter, I would be interested to know if it works, it's available in the UK for about £12 and you need an SD card but it would be quite cool to boot and save configuration files on the SD card and free up the CD IDE channel. Let me know if you try it and it works.

Some time ago I used a "flashpath" floppy adapter for a camera memory card. The adaptor did however require a windows driver.

If this is the same item, then it would mean we can't easily use it with NAS. :(

I guess everyone is missunderstanding my question. I do not want a floppy drive adapter. I want a product that will replace the entire floppy drive with a flash disk.

Such devices require specialized drivers and are not likely to work with NASlite.
