NASLite Network Attached Storage

have been running Naslite usb on an old p3 - have acquired a p4 on with an asus motherboard and 1.5gig of ram so thought to move naslite to that

sure that will be no problem but before i did i wanted to make sure WOL worked

motherboard is an Asus P4P800 SE with onboard NIC - WOL refuses to work [using 2.06] - works fine on my old system

Google is full of WOL problems on Asus motherboards

had a quick play with a pci NIC that i know supports WOL and got nowhere - should that work or if the motherboard is not compatible am i wasting my time.

solved - its all about Nic cards - am puzzled but no matter - a card that works perfectly in one machine does not in another
