I read on wikipedia about the need to config sata 3.0 drives to 1.5 speed.

Chipset in question via vt8237 (which my board has) and the drives are WD 250 gb sata 3.0

The drives can be downshifted to 1.5, just wondering if anyone else has run into this and found it to maybe be true??

Well I have found my board has a VT8237 Plus, so not sure this is any issue in my setup and the other noise I was hearing was a bad drive, 30 days old and it is bad already....

I sure seem to being seeing several bad sata drives over the past year
