Hello

Just bought a copy of NASLite-2 USB, now I'm wondering if it is possible to add a new 400GB disk to my existing 400GB disk, so that the total will be 800GB.

Best regards
TommyE

Hi TommyE,

Yes, I suggest you have one Hard Drive on each Channel if you intend to copy data between Hard Drives.

Add the Drive format it, apply journal and reboot.

Edit: Better point out, although your total will be 800GB you will have Two hard drives.

Gaiden, thanks for your reply.

OK, so there is no way I can append the new 400GB onto the old 400GB so that I still will only have one drive to relate to in my Windows environment?

Best regards
Tommy

Hi Tommy,

You could always purchase a hardware raid card then you would only have the one showing. See the Hardware Ref manual in the Doc's section of this website.
