Dimension don't get me wrong I am total agreement with what SE propose to offer as an upgrade option as I stated in an earlier post.
I have no problem with paying $5 for a geniune upgrade/ enhancement, if I wish to download it.

What worries me is what gaiden said that a bug was rectified in a product release albeit within the 180 day limit, who is to say upcoming releases guised as enhanced releases are bug fixes. I personally would not know and would have to decide whether the advertised new features and benefits are for me.

As I said previously, forums are for expressing opinions as well as seeking advice on a product.

Just my opinion!

Mont,

People buy Naslite for a reason. They examine the software description and CHOOSE to buy it. I’d say a major factor of why people CHOOSE to buy Naslite is its quality. Quality doesn’t just happen. It is a reflection of the people behind the product.

We are all entitled to our opinions right? I think that if you are worried about “upcoming releases guised as enhanced releases are bug fixes”, then you must have a pretty low stress life with lots of free time on your hands. I have more important things to worry about. I trust that based on past history SE will continue to deliver a quality tool that I’ll be happy to buy as needed.

I’ll leave it alone now.

Some of the tools that go in to Naslite Version Server Elements have no control over, these are programmed elsewhere by guys trying a make a living as well. A binary Server Elements uses could be stable in the curremt build of Naslite and then updated and cause all manner of unwanted things. So even if you are outside the 180 period and a new version comes out is it bug free? do you just want it because its version 2.8. and feel like your missing out?

In all the builds there are enhancements that add to the software, yes there are fix's, But these guys spend a great deal of time trying to build a bug free OS thats easy to use etc and get little money for their efforts and then have to deal with stuff like this.

Wouldnt it be just great if they thought stuff this and pulled the plug on the whole lot, nice one guys. no updates and bug fixes now.

Good job I am not running server elements i'd have charged a lot more for the software in the first place.

Dimension & Gaiden: Are you two guys protective of this Naslite thing.
I'm relly sorry that I had the audacity to have an opinion on your very own forum.

As to demension's comment 'then you must have a pretty low stress life with lots of free time on your hands' ..........tis true, I'm in a dilema today.

Shall I drive the Ferrari or the Porsche to work today.

Chill guys your way toooooo protective. Hopefully the problem of update has been sorted.

If the relatively small proposed maintenance fee is still seen as a hardship, remember that you don't have to pay the fee the day after your 6 months is up. Wait until the next release. If there's nothing in there you want/need, wait till the next one.

Say what you want Mont, your entitled to your opinion. But in saying that so am I. I dont come here to argue, I do it to help where I can.

Just trying to point out that the latest build of "ANY" software don't mean its bug free.

It is a reasonable proposal.

I am all for the proposal. The minimal fee is certainly worth what we are getting in return. Users do have the option of not revalidating.

Should be ready tomorrow or Tuesday. Just check your link in the next day or so, the expired message will be different and offer the revalidation.

Link re-Validation is now available, just click your expired link to purchase a re-validation, prices for the *current* products will range between .75 cents and max of $5.25 which would be for the v1 Server Suite.
