Hi folks
I recently created a post named "Power cut data loss...again!"
Well I returned home from work today and it appears there has been some kind of interption in the power and my Nasalite disc will not mount again!
In the previous post Tony said that doing a file system check would return the drive and it's contents. I dont think this is the case. I have tried doing the disk check in the configure storage disk option but all it says is "pass 1: Checking inodes, blocks, and sizes killed". Then the disk still will not mount.
I know I need to get a UPS system sorted out but what worries me is with this happening everytime there is a power problem it makes me think I am stupid putting so much trust in this method of storage when it so easily has the potential to loose everything!
I'm guessing from th last 2 times this happened I can get my data back again by removing the drive and plugging it into a window machine running a utility, but is there an easy way to get this thing going again or am I missing something??
Any advise much appreciated before I put the drive back in another windows machine where it seems to recover from these situations with out a problem.
Cheers
Shaun
