I previously upgraded from Naslite 1.5 to 2.0.

Will the 2.0 to 2.01 upgrade require re-entering activation key, setting IP address again, getting unlock code, and re-enter as well?

Is there a way to copy the config file from the PEN drive, and just copy it back without having to reconfiger and activate again for the upgrade? I only work in Windows, so, not much Linux knowledge. Just like to know if every time a new version in the 2.x series comes out if there is an easy way to upgrade once I create the USB Pen drive. Or is the conguration file preserved on the USB pen drive if I apply new version from CD rom boot?

Thanks

Manny

manny,

Where what worked for me. With 2.0 running I removed the flash drive. I then updated it from the CD on another PC. Next I put the drive back into the orginal PC. Lastly I saved the conf which wrote the data to the newly updated drive.

Harvin. good thinking. I was thinking the same Honest. maybe if there was a big change in the update it may not work so well? maybe Tony could confirm if we could encounter problems saving a config from a older update to a new one.

Thanks Gaiden, Harvin.

I updated this morning. Re-entered all the information. I like your idea Harvin!. I'll try that next time.

Regards to both of you. Thanks for taking the time to help.

Manny

Hi,
I have tried the described update solution on two installations, but it did not work for me. I ended up starting from scratch again and reconfigured.
