I had a power failure and when I rebooted my NasLite server the system could not mount Disk 2. The system said that there was an error and that I should run "fsck". I booted on Knoppix and logged into the root dir and ran "fsck" on the drive. I then answered yes to fix all of the errors. The system said it was placing all of the recovered files in the "lost+found" dir. My problem is that the drive had about 140 GB on it and I would like to recover as much data as I can; but the system says I do not have permission to access the dir. How can I access this dir?

Thanks

You can’t. Just delete it.

I tried to delete the folder just to neaten things up. I get a error saying I don't have permission to modify the folder or some similar wording I forget the exact message... but essentially I cannot do anything with it.
Any suggestions?

The lost+found folder was created by knoppix. You should again use knoppix to access the contents.

The "lost+found" folder is created automatically every time an fsck is executed. Although it is not used by NASlite, it is a necessary part of ext2/3 filesystems. Removing it will set the filesystem as unclean.

Get a copy of drive image. Make an image of the drive with the files and folders you cant access. Then browse the image with the backup image bowser. All restrictions will have been lifted. You can then save all your files to another drive for recovery.
