Me thinks you might be a bit confused.
SATA II is a 3GB/sec interface, SATA III will be a 6GB/sec interface and is in draft right now with some SAS devices starting to be developed. SATA and SAS share the same basic hardware front end interface and in fact SAS controllers will see and use SATA devices that are attached to them as they would any other SAS drive.
USB2 is 480Mb/sec and USB3 will be much higher, up to 4.8Gb/sec and is still in development right now.
Both SATA II and USB devices are supported in NASLite right now and you should consult the list of supported hardware at their web page for further info.
