I have 2 250gb drives. Disk-0 and Disk-1
Disk-0 gets mirrored to Disk-1 every evening. The problem is that the mirror is using 8Gb more drive space than what it's mirroring.

My Disk-0 has 8.4Gb of free space but the Disk-1 has like 676Mb free only.
so i formatted disk-1 and let it re mirror and same problem....

The space discrepency has always been there. if disk-0 has 200Gb of data on it then I would expect the identical disk-1 would have 200Gb of data on it after the mirror.
This seems only a problem on 2.06 as I have a 2.04 version running and its drives uses is identical to the mirror as one would expect.

why would my disk-1 be 8 or more gigabyte fuller than the drive it mirrors??

Thanks for any help... There are no drive errors ect in the logs.

Jamie

What is the total capacity for each as reported by NASLite?

The only difference between the contents of the drives is that the mirror drive will contain the mirror details and log. Those files will be in the root, so take a look and see if the log can account for the size difference. Other than that, I can't think of anything else.

Swap the drives round, then the "smaller" one should fit on the "larger" one when mirrored.
