Do a mirror. It is the fasthest method if you need to copy all the disk.

You'll find the mirror commands in the disk menus. You have to set the mirror setting on the disk that will RECEIVE the files. If Disk-0 needs to be copied on Disk-1, then enter the menu of Disk-1 and set the mirror there (per ex. /Disk-0/19) if you want the mirror to start at 19:00 GMT.

Regards

kaiser75,

Be aware any existing files on disk1 will be deleted.

Alternatively, access both drives via a share and move the files. Be aware this will fail with large (> a few GB) files due to limitations in Windows (assuming you're using Windows).

Hi NickC,

Could you explain more on the "access both drives via a share" please? Will this make the files pass from one drive to the other IN the NL WITHOUT passing over the LAN? All the copy methods I've read will pass through the LAN and windows and will be "slow".

Regards.

.../...

OK, I found out by trial and error :)

If you map a drive to \\NAS\shares, you can move files between "directories" in the share, i.e. Disk-1, Disk-2, Disk-3, etc. and they will move internally rather than across the ethernet. This definitely works for moving files, not sure about copying files.
