I recenty installed a NASLite-SMB server and it is running well except for one application.
The support centre for the application have asked that I turn of opportunistic locks on the server.
Can this be done?

I do have a Knoppix CD if that can be used to access the NASLite floppy.

Did you find a solution?
Microsoft Access databases (JET) suffer from this.

Could one just edit the configuration file:
Code:
 /etc/samba/smb.conf

/gustav

Is it recommended to adjust the Samba configuration?

Code:
veto oplock files = /*.mdb/*.ldb/

If so, how to do this on NASLite SMB(G)?
We have a client experiencing serious corruption issues using NASLite for the backend storage. Previously, using a Windows XP shared folder, he did not see this.

Hi,
I have a customer experiencing the oplocks problem on opening .csv files.

The message "export.csv cannot be accessed. The file may be read-only, or you may be trying to access a read-only location. Or, the server the document is stored on may not be responding" is displayed.

The file is ok when opened in Windows (SMB) but not OSX (AFP).

Is oplocks set on or off in Naslite 2? :?:
