Are Serial ATA disks / controllers supported with any version of NASLite?

TIA

Is it for sure that the 2.x version will have SATA support?

Is there any roadmap when 2.x will be out?

From my understanding version 2.x is going through user testing. At this stage no roadmap / user requirment doc. / product scope statment has been released.

We are all fairly keen to see if SATA will be included. My advice would be to check back on a regular basis for annoucments.

In NASLite-2, SATA is supported to the full extent of the 2.4 kernel capabilities ;-)

2.4 kernel is fine with my v2 test box running 2x40 gig drives on a mega hardware raid card.

May I ask why you are sticking with 2.4 kernel? when 2.6 is out of testing, and is alot better?

I know NASLite was nuilt to only use 8 meg of ram disk, why not make it double or triple that now, given that NASLite is now mostly it seems used on quite capable hardware.

I mean I'm sure everyone would prefer a 2.6 kernel based system, with raid, addon ide (PATA), SATA, SATA Raid, SATA addon card support, and a newer SAMBA version support?

A hard disk install option so we dont have to use a CDROM or the USB (which wont work for me with or without the kicker, or any kicker).

A bit of user/drive security would so be a nice idea... so not all the drives or folders are open to all on the network?

I look forward to your reply(ies), and comments :P
