512 meg pc133 mem
8 usb slots
2 raid cards
lots of coloful fans....lol
1 clear 550w power supply
1 gigabyte lan card
7 300 gig drives
4 300 gig drives in removable drive bays
1 usb bootable pen stick (inside the case)
1 300 gig usb drive that i was working on at the time
1 floppy drive with kicker disk

and a Partridge in a pear tree..................... :lol:


all in a see through case....
the seven drives store dvd movies and the others are for backup to my personal computers using Acronis backup workstation.
so far so good

no more room, time to build another........ :roll:

Looks very nice but have you checked the temp of the drives in the middle of that stack? You may be on your way to disaster. Drives do NOT like heat, it is the fastest way to kill one. Check your SMART table in NL and see what it says.

theres 2 more fans on the other side.....not really warm to the touch

It doesn't look like there is any room for air flow between the drives. To bad that you can't just get them a little bit more spread appart.

checked what you said ...they run about 30 to 35 degrees celcius

there is about 3/16 of space between the lower 7 drives...seems to be ok
