I have an old system that I would like to turn into a Naslite server, however it has the old ata/33 standard drive interface. Obviously all the newer drives and motherboards have faster interfaces and I wondered how this slower interface would affect performance of the network. I nosed around on the forums and did not come across any info dealing with this question. Does the drive interface speed affect performance - would I be better off getting a board with ata/66/100/133 or would this be wasted money?
Thanks,
Scott
