Hello folks,
I got a brandnew 2.5" Hitachi 7200rpm 60GB for my notebook
It IS a difference!
The old HD (4200rpm 40GB) is still good, so I thought it is perfect for the NAS, quiet, using less energy and maybe even faster than the old 3.5" 6GB maxtor which is in there now. I got an 2.5-3.5 hd-adaptor and connected it.
Problem: Nas can not configure it for storage, it says the same as what it says when you try to configure a nonexistant disk.
I had it on all 4 positions and I had it back in the notebook, yes, it is still ok, and I checked the adapter (all contacts fine, no shorts).
So what is going wrong? In the syslog the hd is recognized with name and everything. Can you please have a look and tell me what the warnings mean?
Thank you!
