Good afternoon,

I'm brand new to the NASLite product and have a question.

I installed NASLite2 on an old computer with a 40GB HD and everything worked perfectly. Status shows I have 37GB available for storage.

I added a 250GB Samsung drive (SP2514N) as a second drive. Format and everything else went smoothly except for storage capacity. NASLite recognizes the drive but says I have only 31GB available for storage. BIOS recognizes the disk capacity at 250GB.

I checked the Samsung site for this disk and it was a little confusing. I currently have no jumpers set on this disk.

Am I missing something. I'm really impressed with NASLite and this forum and would really like to use all the capicity of this disk. Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :D :D

Solved the problem. :D :D

I pulled the disk and put it in a simple USB enclosure and plugged it into a XP computer. It showed two partitions, one for 32GB and the remainder in unallocated space. I removed the partition, formatted the drive as one and put it back in the NASLite computer. After format and settings, the whole thing is available for use.

Maybe there was an easier way but at least this worked.

Hope I can contribute in the future.

Vince
