Thinking of getting a couple but the reviews seem a bit scary. Anyone using this?

All of the drives larger than 750GB are getting poor reviews for reliability. Also, you might consider buying the drives ending in NS. These are the Seagate Near Line Storage series and are designed to be hammered on, hard! Also a good idea if one plans on hanging a few off them in a RAID array as they have read/write compensation built in to counter act some of the added vibration in the chassis when they are all hammering away and prevent increased latency times. Is there a physical difference in the drives, don't know but I do believe that you give a but in peak performance for better overall average read/write reliability. We shall see as I am installing an ST3750330NS in my array in a bit and will be adding others in the seeks to follow.

Net result of my rant, STAY AWAY from them for now and go for the above drive.
