Hi,

I have the following error in the disk 1 status and I can't find out what it means :( As I have my back-ups on this drive, I'd like to be sure that I can count on it...

Any ideas and help will be appreciated.

TIA

Hi there.

I'm answering my own question :)

I have sent an e-mail to Seagate and they have forwarded a link for testing the hard drives and it all came out OK. It is a DOS boot diskette (exists in CD ISO format too) does a fast and long scan of the drives and tells you if something is wrong. It worked for my Segate and Fujitsu drives. I don't know if all the drives are supported.

FYI, if you want to check your drives, the link for SeaTools (for DOS is the one for Linux users)

SeaTools for DOS and Windows

Regards
