I've been reading for hours and am confused on what Raid controller I should get. I was originally planning on sticking with ATA100/133 drives for my NAS, but I'm not opposed to SATA. I want the capability of running Raid 5.

ATA100/133
3ware 7500-4 or 7500-8
3ware 7506
Megaraid 511
Adaptec:AAR-2400A

SATA
2410SA (Is there ones in the same price range faster?)

I was leaning towards the 7500-4, but read that it wasn't recommended for Raid 5? Any comments to that? Like I said I'm not opposed to SATA if there is a good option there. The drives are cheaper these days anyways compared to ATA100

I'm planning on sticking this in a Epox 8KDA motherboard, nforce 3 chipset, AMD 64 processor. Since the CPU and mobo is 64bit does that mean the PCI slots are too?

Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Deliverer
