I have 3 500g hard drives in a PC running naslite. Looking for recommendations on a good IDE Raid card to support my 3 drives.

I am using both an Adaptec 2400A and a 3ware 7500-8 without problems.

The 3ware is faster and prefer it.

I believe there are 4 port versions of it. Either the 7500 or 7506 models should server you well.

The 7506 is 64bit/66MHz rather than 64bit/33MHz for the 7500 series. I also have a 7500-8 and it serves well.

The LSI Megaraid i4 is another candidate - 4 ports but will take up to 8 drives. Also available as the Dell 9K646 - will probably require to be flashed to the latest LSI firmware for >137GB support. I had one of them installed prior to the 7500-8 and it's not quite as fast, but still adequate.

The 7500-8 works perfectly well in a 32bit PCI slot, as does the LSI Megaraid i4
