I'm sure there are linux users out there; if so could you help me? Just loaded Ubunto onto 'spare' PC in garage; installed as second hard-drive one of my nearly full NL Drives. Mounted and Shared (NFS). Back to my study lo-and-behold it's there in the MS workgoup mshome. I can't open it though; I am asked for username and password, then it hangs.

Should I be able to open it or, should I have shared SMB, or what do you think?

many thanks jeff

I think you need to enable Samba and add Samba userid/pw.

I was unclear a little if you were indeed trying to access Ubuntu from a Windoze box, or not. You could also look at the extensive Ubuntu site's forums, as I don't think this is a Naslite related question.
