Is the 2TB max per card or per array?
Mine is an HP card, so I would be very surprised if v2.05 was not compatible with the HP variant (Bearcat) of the Adaptec 2610SA.

I believe the card can handle an array of up to 2TB. Theoretically, you could create this with 2 x (3 x 500GB - RAID5) in RAID0 or 5 x 500GB in RAID5, or simply 4 x 500GB in RAID0 or spanned.

Well worth waiting for compatibility. The card has worked flawlessly in NASLite-2 since I installed the revised kernel.
I have been following this for a while now. Great to see a solution is at hand. I also have the HP version of the 2610SA. Any idea when the fix will be out. I would be willing to beta test as well.

just installed the update and it is working great. Recognized the 2610SA (HP version) no problems. Currently running RAID 1 and no problems, no loss of performance. Will be changing to RAID 5 this weekend.

Now running RAID 5 with 3 320GB drives. So far it is working fine. AS per reply in another post I am noticing erratic transfer rates with SATA drives even in RAID. Transfer using diskwriggler shows bursts of fast transfer then slow transfer. I notice this on writes. May having to do with the write cache so I will experiment with this.

Would you not want to ship it and get a localised PSU? It seems a shame to have to sell a new NAS box.......

Actually, this might be the least of my problem.

I found a house that I really like last month. Signed the contract, will close later this month. Now, with the new assingment, I don't know what to do: cancel or buy and rent it out.

Anyway, if anyone interested in my box please pm me

Rebuilt the array and turned on write cache. This is done in 3 places: the array cache, controller cache and drive cache. I am now getting much faster write speeds. It still does not have a flat line transfer (the netwrok graph looks like runs of V-tach) but before I enabled cache, it would stop transfering for 5-10 seconds at a time. Thanks for the patch server elements!

Well, I haven't heard anyone screaming so I assume this fix is good for v2.05? Any objections?
