One of my drives just died on me and need to be replaced.. the model used is no longer in production which is why I need to find an alternative. My other drive in the RAID1 array has 16MB buffer, do I need to limit my 2nd drive to 16MB buffer models or is there no real performance loss using an 8MB buffer drive? This is on a 800MHz duron using a LSI Logic Megraid 150-4.
