hi guys, this site looks very interesting.

I hope someone here can lend me some help (yes i know its not the same as your doing here) with a simpleshare nas external case, my drive is dying and rather than throwing it away i would like to replace the drive and simpletech says i cant. Does someone here know of a solution?

Thanks in advance.

Drive down to the dump and pick up a thrown away PC.

Bring it home.

Stick the NASLIte floppy in it.

Stick a big drive in it.

There you have a NAS. Dont waste your money on a USB one build a NAS and it wills scale as you need it

Have you tried fitting another drive in the case? The specs say it's a standard ATA drive, and if the existing drive's on it's way out you haven't really got much to lose. Try an old hdd first just in case.
