Not sure I understand your question. Create new shares from what?

NASLite exports the disks as Disk-1, Disk-2, etc. If you are trying to get it to export the names as something else, then the answer is no, you can't change the name of the shares or the mount point of the shares.

Apologies, what I meant was can I make a new share from a folder below the disk-1, disk-2, disk-3, disk-4 samba share.

eg on nas\disk-1 sub folder of mp3 I would like to create a share of music.

Thanks in advance
Martin

No you can't create new shares. All you get are the disk-1, disk-2, etc shares.

I disagree with smeyer ... we might be misinterpreting boweto's question. But I think what he is asking is, can I create folders underneath of "Disk-1" ? The answer is yes. And all those folders are "shares" ... readable (and writable unless you use the "Disks/Disk-1" path) by anyone.

Right georg, but what I think he was asking is can those folders he creates under disk-1 be exported just like disk-1 and be treated as another network drive.

For example he creates a folder called 'music' on disk-1 and wants to map the music folder as a network drive in windows. This is not possible in NASLite. You can map the drive and then see the folders as you mentioned, but you can't map just folders, which is what I think boweto is wanting to do.

Hello smeyer & boweto

Hey ... that makes sense ! Thanks for thinking of it that way. So now I think we have covered any which way boweto may have intended originally.
