Is it possible to transfer the configuration (or even the whole content) from one USB device to another?

I just bought to smaller USB devices (32 MBs each) and would like to use that ones instead of my bigger ones.

TIA
Kelsey

Configure your new usb key with the install ISO, then place it in your running naslite box and resave the config to the new usb key.

Thanks for the info Ralph ....
In one post I described how my USB stick sort of evaporated and I reloaded NasLite USB. So his question is relevent.

Is there a "backup" or "USB Stick copy" function in the current release? (Any easy way to do it?)

Lacking that, is it too late to put something into Version 2.0 that woudl allow you to burn a backup or emergency copy incase the first goes south? It would be a nice backup and safety feature!

Thanks!

NASLite configuration is trivial in terms of options, so providing a mechanism to back-up configuration settings within NASLite is probably going to cause more problems than it will solve. The problem that you described (USB Flash degrading) is not the norm and I’d say is fairly uncommon. After all, what good will the flash be if it can’t retain the data that was committed to it?

As NASLite improves and options become more numerous, that may become a necessity, but at this time I don’t think there is a need for it.
