Hi
(I'm German so my English isn't very good)
I bought a MAXTOR DiamondMax 10 250GB HDD (6L250R0) at http://www.mix-computer.de
When I tried to format it in NASLite+ (4: Configure Storage Disks => F: Format Disks => 1 => Y ) then I get a message that he couldn't format the HDD.
Then I took the HDD out of my "NAS-PC" (100mhz 16mb RAM ) and put it in my Standard PC. I took the CD and save-floppy and put it in the Standart PC, too. Then I booted NASLite and he could format the HDD !!!
I put everything again in the NAS-PC and started NASLite.
He mounted the HDD and I could put files on the Server.

>>>1 DAY LATER<<<

I started the NAS-PC and he didn't mount the HDD
Then I wanted to format but it didn't work again.
I don't want to change the HDD again to my Standard PC
What can I do?
The bios of the NAS-PC does only support 8GB but NASLite supports up to 32TB doesn't it ???

Please help me

You have to set BIOS as if you have no HD.

Du musst im BIOS die Festplatte auschalten. Wenn Du mehr fragen hast kannst mich unter wolfgang@coololdman.com erreichen.

Just restart the machine and let it run. It will run file check and clean up the HDD. This can take hours so be prepaired to wait.

If you have a Windows machine you can transfer the drive to it and use the rlinux program to recover most of the drive contents.

Then put the drive back in NASLite and format it again. Then use it like you normally would.
