I cant get my NAS to boot the USB. I created it without problem. Tried the Superfloppy and Partition types. Added the Kicker- which launches, but gives the following error:

USBASPI: Target Device Not Found

Unable to open ASPI Manager!
ASPIDISK.SYS not installed

I look on the kicker and this SYS file is there.

What am I doing wrong?

PC is a PII 266mhz 192mg RAM
PhoenixBIOS 4.0 Release 6.0

Hi jganovsky,

To use the Kicker disk the USB device needs to be a Superfloppy.

The error you are getting is the kicker cannot see your usb device. you may want to try one of my versions HERE in the archive is two kickers.

Good Luck

I have 2 USB's- a TREK G2 noname and an IOMEGA Jump Sport. Tried all with the kickers and here are my results with the SuperFloppy formated USB:

NASLite Kicker- Failed
Novac.exe- Failed
Iomega...exe- SUCCESS!

The Iomega kicker worked with both USB's.

Thanks for your excellent help.

Hi jganovsky,

Thats great, The Iomega drivers seem to have some success. The USB CD can detect the device because it has better support for the hardware.
The original kicker does work well, but sometimes its driver will not detect some USB devices or could be the USB bus, The Iomega driver seems to fill that gap.

Naslite+ usb works great dont it.
