I thought that NASLite bypassed the BIOS. In the BIOS do I need to set up a boot order?
CDROM, A, C?

Hi jganovsky,

You are correct in setting the boot order.
What you do is set the hard disk to none, this will allow a older machine to use much larger Hard Drives then you could before.
you cant actually bypass the bios as the machine would not boot at all.

hope this helps

The BIOS controls the motherboard hardware. Without the BIOS, the motherboard is useless, so NASLite cannot operate without the board BIOS. However, what NASLite can do is to bypass limitations in the BIOS in order to allow the use of large drives on systems with a BIOS unable to properly identify drive geometry.

In other words, the BIOS needs to turn the drives on and let NASLite figure out what they are and how to address them.

Hope that helps.
