For those of you NOT using a high spec pc and want to stream content from your nas you my be interested in this. Its a little mini live distro around 6MB. it works well and has a nice iso builder so u can turn off options etc. it supports wireless and uPNP. and its FREE.

I tested it last night and it worked well with my nas.

Eden,

Did you make a custom ISO or use the default? If you made a custom ISO, did you use the default "SHARE" username (with an empty password), or did you change the username/password to reflect NASLite?

Speaking of which, what is the username/password for NASLite? My XP computer never asked me for a username/password when connecting to my NASLite shares, but it must use "something" right?

modul8r,

I used the default ISO, but I also messed with the ISO builder.
but it didnt burn off the custom iso.

The default username for Naslite is "admin" and the password is "nas"
Naslite is designed to be a open server so username and passwords are not needed when accessing files. the username and password only is for the configuration screen.
