Hi to all,

just bought naslite+ last week, installation was a breeze. I hv a question that I will need some advise from u guys.

my current networking setup are such that my two desktop, a laptop, thompson speedtouch modem and my file server( old amd700 system w naslite) are all connected to a network switch.all my system hv software firewall install. So my question is whether my server is protected behind any firewall?

NASLite does not support a gateway, so if your LAN uses nonroutable IPs (192.168.XXX.YYY for example), there is physically no way for anyone from the outside to access content on the NASLite sever - even without a firewall.

Hope that helps.
